Trish Bare Grounds, MS, ATC is a trailblazer in the field of athletic emergency care, with over three decades of experience providing medical coordination and response in some of the most unconventional and high-risk environments in sports and performance. As the owner and medical coordinator of Bare Essentials Sports Medicine since 1994, Trish has led emergency medical planning and care for a wide range of action sports, martial arts, and performance art events—including BMX, cheerleading, taekwondo, trampoline, parkour, skateboarding, and even the Ringling Brothers Circus, where she currently serves as their first-ever athletic trainer on tour.

Known for her innovative approach to emergency preparedness, Trish has developed and taught extraction techniques for non-traditional venues such as aerial rigs, deflated airbags, concrete skate parks, and even below-stage environments. Her passion lies in adapting traditional athletic training principles to meet the demands of unique performance settings—often creating custom protocols and training both medical and non-medical personnel for emergency response in difficult, chaotic, and unfamiliar situations.

She is a respected national speaker, having served as a keynote for state athletic training symposiums, chiropractic sport councils, elite training camps, and national coaching certification events. Committed to mentoring the next generation of healthcare professionals, Trish is deeply driven to pass on hard-earned knowledge from the field to ensure safety and readiness in every environment—no matter how unconventional.
