Mike Hopper ATC is in his 11th year as the Head Athletic Trainer at Bishop Lynch High School, where he leads the Friars Athletic Training program. Under his guidance, the program has been recognized as a Safe Sports School by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association since 2015. Mike and his team provide exceptional care for hundreds of student-athletes each year, working in collaboration with healthcare providers throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area. In addition to his clinical responsibilities, he teaches a Sports Medicine I course.
Mike earned his bachelor's degree in Athletic Training from Southeast Missouri State University and a master's degree in Pediatric Sports Medicine from the Morsani College of Medicine at the University of South Florida. He is a Licensed Athletic Trainer in Texas and a Certified Athletic Trainer through the Board of Certification for Athletic Trainers. Beyond his work at Bishop Lynch, Mike is a sought-after speaker, presenting at regional and national conferences on various athletic training topics. He is also a contributing author to the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Position Statement: Emergency Action Plan Development and Implementation in Sport and Roundtable on Preseason Heat Safety in Secondary School Athletics: Prehospital Care of Patients With Exertional Heat Stroke.
